I know I have said it more than
once or twice,
those three words that sound so nice.
Yet my ears must be deaf to the tone,
for I am saying it all alone.
Your touch tells me different it
feels so right.
Relationship is strong, no end in sight.
Another day gone, another starts anew.
Together are we, though no words from you.
Your eyes send the
message that your tongue cannot speak,
why can’t you say what I’ve felt for weeks.
Wearing that smile that sends me so,
off to the sweetheart tree we go.
Feeling your hand
wrap around mine,
carving our names side by side.
Wonderful to me in every way,
except for those three words that you won’t say.
I don’t know
why you hold back from me.
I want to hear it, can’t you see?
Yet when I ask you, you can’t deny.
I say it again but I get no reply.
I guess it should
not matter your actions stand true.
Content with what you are, what else can I do?
I will stay with you forever knowing what you hide.
I wish you would share what you are feeling inside.

after saying "I love you," I will hear, I love you too!
